Sometimes we convince ourselves that Christianity is all about grace, and so righteousness, holiness, and good works do not matter. It is as if we believe Jesus' sacrifice is a blank check that allows us to live as if there is no law. Paul warns against this in his letters on grace and Jesus taught his disciples to be "perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect."
In this series, we will explore Jesus' teachings in the Sermon on The Mount where he makes clear that he did not come to "abolish the law" but to fulfill it. Why does God desire our Righteousness? How is God's desire for our righteousness a demonstration of God's love for us?
